Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement
Amber Fusion Limited
Financial Year 2025/26
1. Our Commitment
Amber Fusion Limited is committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or our supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to take a robust approach to slavery and human trafficking and are committed to improving our practices to combat these crimes.
"We believe that access to clean energy should never come at the cost of human dignity. Our commitment to ethical sourcing is fundamental to our mission."
2. Organisational Structure & Supply Chains
As an innovator in the UK and EU renewable energy sector, our business involves the sourcing of high-tech components, including Solar PV modules, Green Gas Turbines, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Our supply chains involve the procurement of raw materials and engineered components from global manufacturers.
Key Supply Chain Areas:
Solar PV Modules
Photovoltaic panels and mounting systems
Green Gas Turbines
Advanced turbine systems and components
Battery Storage (BESS)
Lithium-ion batteries and control systems
EV Infrastructure
Charging stations and electrical components
3. Due Diligence & Ethics
We expect the same high standards from all of our contractors, suppliers, and other business partners. As part of our contracting processes, we include specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory, or trafficked labour. We expect our suppliers to hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.
Supplier Code of Conduct
All suppliers must adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct, which explicitly prohibits modern slavery, child labour, and human trafficking.
Contractual Obligations
Our contracts include the right to audit suppliers and terminate agreements if modern slavery is discovered.
Certification Requirements
We prioritise suppliers with recognised ethical certifications and transparent supply chain documentation.
4. Risk Management
We identify the manufacturing of hardware and the extraction of raw materials (such as lithium and cobalt for battery storage) as the highest-risk areas for modern slavery within our industry. We mitigate these risks by prioritising partnerships with suppliers who demonstrate transparent ethical auditing and compliance with international labour standards.
High-Risk Areas Identified:
- •Raw Material Extraction: Mining of lithium, cobalt, and rare earth elements for battery production
- •Manufacturing Facilities: Solar panel and battery assembly in regions with weak labour protections
- •Component Supply Chains: Multi-tier supply chains where visibility can be limited
Our Mitigation Strategies:
✓ Conducting supplier risk assessments based on geography and industry sector
✓ Requiring suppliers to provide evidence of ethical sourcing practices
✓ Prioritising suppliers with third-party ethical certifications (e.g., Responsible Minerals Initiative)
✓ Engaging in industry collaborations to improve supply chain transparency
✓ Regular review and updating of our approved supplier list
5. Accountability & Future Steps
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide relevant guidance to our staff and encourage a culture of transparency and whistleblowing.
Training & Awareness:
- • Staff training on modern slavery risks in renewable energy supply chains
- • Procurement team education on ethical sourcing requirements
- • Whistleblowing procedures for reporting concerns
- • Regular communication of our ethical standards to all stakeholders
Ongoing Commitments:
- • Annual review and update of this statement
- • Continuous improvement of supplier due diligence processes
- • Expansion of ethical auditing programmes
- • Collaboration with industry bodies to raise standards across the sector
- • Transparent reporting of our progress and challenges
